Business Development Manager
Chemical/Biochemical, Industrial Products, NGO/Non-Profit, Oil/Gas, FMCG, Corporate Affairs - Ha Noi

The Job
Job Purpose:
- We are looking for a high potential candidate with capabilities to move up to a senior management position in Company Vietnam or the region. This position will be based in Hanoi working with (i) external stakeholders in both Hanoi and HCMC and (ii) company’s businesses and functions in developing and executing key elements of company’s business initiatives in Vietnam related to growth and new market entries.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Focal point to work with external stakeholders in both Hanoi and HCMC on all issues related to company’s new business development activities
- Seek, evaluate and recommend growth opportunities for the businesses to consider.
- Prepare comprehensive analyses and proposals for growth projects and new market entries.
- Work with the businesses and functions in terms of project evaluation, stakeholder management, negotiations and development of investment proposals
- Monitor the business status update and support the Country Chair and the leadership team in driving the implementation of the company’s growth plans
Key Challenges:
- a)Rapid assimilation of knowledge across company’s new business opportunities and visualization of these opportunities against company’s strategy.
- b)Excellent team-work skills to coordinate, communicate and propose business cases to management.
- c)Builder of strong linkages with other businesses and functions.
- d)Being able to challenge and develop breakthrough solutions.
Your Skills and Experience
- University Degree - Master degrees
- a) Minimum 10 years of working experience with at least 5 years working experience in oil and gas industry.
- b) Strong financial, commercial and analytical skills with good experience of project economic evaluation, management and implementation.
- c)Ability to prepare comprehensive analyses and proposals for growth projects and new market entries.
- d)Ability to build up and maintain effective business relationships with stakeholders.
- e)Ability to identify the value drivers within business opportunities as well as to understand critical risks and mitigation strategies for those risks.
- Creativeness with an ability to embrace long term development aspirations & options for company’s investment in Vietnam
Desirable:
- In- depth knowledge of the Vietnam energy market.
- Strong relationships with Vietnamese authorities, state-owned energy companies and international oil companies.
- Languages: Fluent English and Vietnamese: speak, translate, interpret and write concisely.
