Procurement Manager

The Job
Task 1: Planning, supervising, managing and responsible for the procurement of finishing packages:
1.1 Planning, supervising, monitoring and managing the procurement activities according to the approved timeline, quality and budget:
- Establishing the procurement plan for the nominated packages of the projects, responsible to supervise and speed up the implementation of the approved plan
- Ensuring all the procurement activities are in conformance with the procedure, regulation and policy of the company
- Co-ordinating with the Design Team to optimize the specification, propose the appropriate material to best meet the standard of the project before quotation/tendering
- Evaluating the technical specification of the materials, ensure to meet the company’s requirement, from there to select the qualified and capable suppliers
- Supervising the quality of the materials, ensure that it conforms all the quality standards as committed in the contract before delivery to site
- Monitoring the procurement expenses are within the approved budget
1.2 Optimizing the benefits for the company:
- Negotiating with the local and international suppliers to get the most favorable commercial terms and conditions
- Responsible to deal with price, payment terms, delivery time to maximize the benefit for the company
Task 2: Build and develop the Supply Source
- Conducting the evaluation and pre-qualifying the supplier to establish the Supply Database
- Maintaining the relationship with the current suppliers and often looking for new potential suppliers
- Regularly updating the new technology and proactively replenish the Supplier Base
Task 3: Professional training, support colleagues:
- Preparing and conducting knowledge training for subordinates
- Always ready to support colleagues or related departments to reach the common goal of the team and company
- Ready to do other task as per instruction of the line manager or Board of Directors
Your Skills and Experience
- Education: University Graduation in construction, foreign trade, Supply Chain or economic
Knowledge:
- Knowledge about procurement & procurement procedure
- Specialized knowledge about finishing materials for projects
- Prioritized knowledge about real estate, construction works
Managing experience:
- 5 years of managing experience in the equivalent position
Specialized experience:
- 5-7 years in the Procurement area, particular strong experience in below packages/categories:
- Doors and Ironmongeries
- Kitchen cabinet & appliances
- Tiles
- Loose furniture
- Raised floor
- Sanitaryware
- Marble stones
- Wood flooring
- OS&E (Selected items TBC)
- Smart Home & LED (Selected items TBC)
Skills:
- Managing skill
- Problem Solving skill
- Time management
- People management
- Project co-ordination
- Fluent in English
Others:
- Having good moral, sincere and responsible attitude
- Having good negotiation skill
- Ability to work independent, interaction and co-ordination with people.
- Ability to plan and manage people
- Ability to observe, forecast, analyze and summarize
