About the Head of Internal Control Role:
- As the Head of Internal Control & Compliance you will build total Company internal control and compliance function to perform the full range of risk management, control and review over the organisation's operational effectiveness, with a particular focus on financial processes and compliance.You will ensure our compliance with internal and external financial regulations and help to build robust internal audit practices.
- As this function is newly established, you will be required to compose a plan and process for conducting audits within the organisation and form the frameworks needed for different departments to be audit-ready.
Key Responsibilities:
The scope of work of the internal auditing department is to determine whether the organization’s network of risk management, control and governance processes, as designed and represented by management, is adequate and functioning in a manner to ensure:
- Identification and evaluation of entity and/or transaction-level controls to mitigate key business risks
- Developing a deeper understanding of the organization’s risk and control environment and the effectiveness of underlying controls
- Developing action plans to address control issues and if required, the design and implementation of an internal control monitoring program
- Review the suitability of internal control design and operating effectiveness and assess compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
- Opportunities for improving management control, profitability and the organization’s reputation will be a focus during audits
