The Job

POSITION SUMMARY

The Artistry Training Manager (ATM) focuses on three key areas of responsibility:

1. Brand Artistry Awareness (Artist Relations, MPMP, Make-Up Artist Community, Social Media)

2. Events Trend Participation (Seminars, Events, Workshops, Master Classes, Brand Technique, brand 123, Trend Shows, Online, Special Events, Backstage, Editorial)

3. Artistry & Training (Certification, Make-Up Workshops, Basic Training Support, Brand Update Support, Social/Digital, CRM, Customer Service, Theme Days, Brand Artist Challenge, etc.)

The Artistry Training Manager is a strong collaborator of Sales and Education Manager to enhance overall Artistry Skills in the market. This is achieved by the facilitation of make-up workshops, demos, both in-store and external, including social/digital landscape. He/she is responsible in leading by example in all projects in the demonstration and direction of make-up application and artistry, in order to maintain and build the brand’s makeup authority leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. BRAND ARTISTRY AWARENESS

  • Support Artist Relations by collaborating and participating in activities which are focused on the Professional and/or Freelance Make-Up Artist Community
  • Drive inspiration and brand awareness of brand as the Professional Make-Up Authority through social media platform 

2. EVENTS TREND PARTICIPATION

  • Support Marketing by leading and providing make-up direction and concept to the artists working backstage for fashion shows and/or special events, trend shows, editorials, master classes
  • Initiate, organize and conduct make-up workshops/seminars/events (Brand Technique), demos (Brand123), appointments in-store and external partners on an ongoing rotation across locations to help generate customer interest and stimulate counter excitement and revenue
  • Participate in leading and coaching Retail Artists in retail activities

3. ARTIST TRAINING

  • Lead & facilitate core trainings in Brand
  • Lead in upgrading Retail Artists’ Artistry Skills by facilitating seamless training (including face charts) and certification on Skill/Advance Certification 1 & 2 and Fashion Show Skill Certification
  • Train and develop Retail Artists CRM knowledge/skills, by inspiring and instilling impeccable customer service & customer relationship, specifically to New-To-File
  • Upskilling Retail Artists on social media skills to strengthen Brand Artist Challenge participation and actively create contents for posting
  • Observe and modify, if necessary, the Retail Artists’ makeup abilities when working side by side or in training environment. Provide feedback and follow up with Sales and Education Manager.
  • Responsible for researching & developing current trend and general make-up knowledge building on information provided by the brand to incorporate in initiatives for development of Brand Artists
  • Identify artist training needs & opportunities and collaborate with Sales & Education Manager, on an ongoing basis
  • Responsible for the translation of core training modules from Global/Regional
  • Adhering to and providing the example for Brand policies regarding customer service expectations, dress code and Brand professional standards. Lead Theme Days.
  • Provide factual and relevant feedback, when attending team meetings, to essential departments and leaders to enhance the future capabilities of events, workshops and overall makeup capabilities of Brand Artists and Events Team members.
  • Attend all brand meetings (e.g. counter staff meetings, internal brand meeting) and participating by presenting independent ideas and concepts

4. Other tasks: as assigned by Brand Manager

Your Skills and Experience

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
 Education: Diploma in Training Development with specialist training in make-up.
 Job-Related Skills: Proven exceptional ability in make-up application, organizational skills, Customer service, public speaking and instructional training. Must be versatile.
 Job-Related Experience: Five years of relevant working experience.
 Analytical/Interpretive Skills: Training and coaching new and existing employees and customers.
 Communication Skills: Proven ability to provide guidance, instruction and product knowledge and Training;
 Ingenuity/Creativity Skills: Demonstrate ability to develop creative, challenging informative and fun ways to deliver training and educational information.
