Deputy Legal & Public Affairs Communications Director
Advertising/Promotion/PR, Legal/Contracts, FMCG - Ho Chi Minh
Salary: $6000- $8000
The Job
Key accountabilities
- Legal & Public Affairs Communications(PAC) Strategy and Policy Development: Establish and update strategic direction for the Legal & PAC function and ensure alignment with business strategy; develop the guidelines, processes and templates and monitor the implementation.
- Legal & PAC Guidance: Provide proactive Legal & PAC guidance, advice and assist in problem-resolution on a timely basis on various laws applicable to the organization and other issues which may arise; work as part of cross- functional teams on projects and initiatives and provide Legal or PAC guidance as required.
- Legal/PAC Representation: Supervise complex Legal/PAC matters and serve as General Counsel on highly sensitive/confidential Vietnam Legal/PAC matters; develop relationships with Government, regulators, legislators, opinion leaders and media that may influence the Business operation. Promoting company image and deliver right messages to public.
- Corporate Affairs Management: Oversee the corporate secretarial matters, including the preparation of resolutions, minutes of board meetings and general meetings, ensuring timely filing of annual returns, etc.
- Compliance Management: Develops compliance programs designed to educate internal client groups on key legal issues associated with business activities and to promote compliance with COBC and applicable laws and regulations; monitor and track compliance to COBC and applicable laws and take corrective steps as required
- External Legal Services Management: Develop guidelines for undertaking services of advocates and other legal services; monitor and review the quality and cost of services provided by third party counsel for area of practice and take steps to optimize these costs.
- People Management: Develop and manage PAC associates team, set performance objectives in discussion with the team, regularly monitor team performance and provide feedback and support as required. Make sure right structure and develop career path, provide training and development opportunity.
Your Skills and Experience
- University/ Bachelors degree
- Qualified Public Affairs Communications person in senior role with prior experience of not less than ten years gained from MNC and FMCG manufacturing entities. Exposure to strategic planning activities with good PRC business insight and in dept knowledge of PRC laws and regulations.

- Knowledge of Competition laws, food laws, Consumer Laws, Labour & Corporate Laws, Company law and etc.
- Good presentation skills.
