The Job

Role:

  • Leads Shopper Marketing integration at Brand / Channel level to drive overall effectiveness of Company’s demand creation programs
  • Leverage Shopper Insights, in partnership with Shopper and Customer Insights Manager to understand drivers of performance at Category & Brand level and build a strategic Category Approach to growth for Company and our Customers
  • Owns the Category Strategy, and partners with Channel Development to drive through to execution
  • Owns Company’s Category Management approach for Modern and General Trade Channels and Customers, acting as a trusted partner to fuel category performance

Reporting line:

  • Reporting directly to: Customer Marketing Director
  • Number of direct reports: 2 (Shopper and Customer Insight Manager; In store Excellence Manager)

 Main responsibilities:

Shopper Marketing

  • Owns the partnership with Marketing teams to create long range calendar of activities and events grounded in deep understanding of the Shopper, Channel and Category
  • Develops the Category Management approach for Modern & Traditional Channels driving deeper partnership based collaboration and category captaincy (as appropriate)
  • Partners to build Shopper & Channel Learning plans that drive actionable insights on the right shopper levers to deploy, in the right channels, at the right times
  • Builds and maps shopper lifecycle and deeply understands how to maximize new consumer acquisition through trade, category or channel programs

 Shopper and Consumer Engagement

  • Helps shape how Company brands are presented to Customers and Shoppers through both direct and indirect contact methods, with particular focus on interaction via Promoter (PG) and Field Sales teams
  • Reviews opportunities to drive A&P efficiency and Brand Salience through Portfolio and / or Category programs that drive brand awareness and new user acquisition.

 People Management:

  • Support employees in implementation of their growth plans. Develop and maintain succession plan and address future staffing issues in a proactive manner.
  • Manage team’s development throughout the path to achieve goals.
  • Ensure team activities to comply with Company Business Code of Conduct and all local applicable laws within scope of function responsibility.
  • Special projects as needed by Management team.

Your Skills and Experience

Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related field
  • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in analytical or shopper role with commercial bias
