BACKGROUND

To accelerate our journey at exponential pace we are looking for the best digital talent, fellow kindred spirits who have the passion for all things digital and are not afraid to break convention to be change catalysts within our business.
  • With eCommerce and Digital Media investments growing across all Company markets, Holistic Media Planning that drives both awareness and conversion is now a business imperative. Because of this, the silos between upper funnel and lower funnel planning are now being removed, with the Media Team key in connecting the two. Using our media scale as an advertiser to drive the quality and quantity of eCommerce conversions is clearly a capability Company needs to have to win in a highly connected marketing landscape.
  • We need to add expertise and focus in using media and data to fulfil all of the above. So we are looking for a committed, enthusiastic and experienced professional to handle Performance and eCommerce Media planning and execution. The person in this job will work closely with the eCommerce Team (part of our Customer Development / Sales function) and Brand Marketing Teams to land winning eCommerce media executions that drive conversions

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • eCommerce is a strategic priority and a clear growth driver for Company. The Performance and eCommerce Media Manager will be responsible for creating and operationalizing a cross-channel performance marketing strategy for our digital campaigns, with the goal of maximizing conversion all along the funnel.
  • The Performance and eCommerce Media Manager will be part of the Digital Hub and will work crossfunctionally with different departments and such as Brand Marketing, Media & eCommerce, while also operating closely with our agencies. He/she is the internal expert when it comes to conversion-led planning and optimization for digital media performance.
  • eCommerce is a channel where one can build brands and sell brands at the same time. So there will be a range of stakeholders in fulfilling the role. Aside from being a centre of expertise and excellence on eCommerce Media, the role needs outstanding skills in working with teams. This role does not have any direct reports; rather, it requires one to manage a huge external agency team and to co-work effectively with a wide range of colleagues. Working in eCommerce and Performance Media is fast-paced and highly demanding. This role requires agility and resilience to perform amidst high-growth pressures.

Key responsibilities of the Performance and eCommerce Media Manager in the Digital Hub will be to:

1.Translate brands’ eCommerce strategies/campaigns/plans into a Media execution plan

2. Lead the setting of eCommerce Media budgets aligned to target sales volumes and eCommerce ambitions.

3. Ensure Holistic Media Planning is employed across all brands and campaigns, with focus on using upper funnel scale to drive lower funnel conversions.

4. Ensure that lower funnel conversion assets are included in all key digital campaigns and on all digital engagement assets to drive as appropriate lead acquisitions, conversion and sales in eComm channels

5.Manage and deliver superior conversion led search optimization inside and outside the retailer to drive ecommerce sales

6. Work with the analytics team, media agencies and data team to optimize continuously for campaign objectives and performance in real time plans, ensuring qualitative traffic to Company properties and partners stores, aimed at converting to either data capture or sales and maximizing the ROAS

7. Understand and leverage retailer platform functionalities to deliver ROAS on Company media investment on the retailer platform.

8. Partnering with eCommerce CD team to design performance based executions

9. Defining A/B testing opportunities (audience segments, channel and content) and building into media & content briefs

10. Codify the learning/results from each campaign and use the evaluation to sharply the way we manage eCommerce and Performance Marketing

11. Create capability/training sessions to upskill brand teams on performance marketing

Your Skills and Experience

 Primary traits (required)

  • Passion for Digital & eCommerce and how it impacts businesses. Very high willingness to learn and un-learn.
  • High “bias for action” and leadership
  • Four or more years’ experience and superior knowledge of media, digital, programmatic, performance marketing or similar. Probably gained in a leading multinational media agency, advertiser, global digital platform or eCommerce player. Hands-on experience of eCommerce and Social Commerce, from a media perspective.
  • Excellent communicator with senior stakeholders, peers and reports (conversational and presentational)
  • Excellent listening skills and the ability to understand business needs (e.g. to convert a Marketer’s request into a stimulating performance media brief)
  • Experience managing relationships in a large, multinational, matrix organisation.
  • Right Mental Attitude – resilience and openness communication & walk the talk.
  • Organisational change-agent mind-set

Secondary traits (“nice to have”)

  • Experienced project manager, particularly in terms of project planning, forecasting demand and managing human resource accordingly.
  • Facilitation and capability building skills. Able to contribute to a significant change programme.
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity and working capability
