Main Purpose:
- Support the Manufacturing Operations in the Plants and Agro. Operations nationwide by providing timely, accurate and cost-effective financial and management reporting in accordance with local requirements and Company policy. Leading cost effective stewardship of the company’s asset and operation and implement and sustain Best Practice Tools to ensure the development and execution of business agenda
- Oversee the accounting & control operations in the Plants as well as Co-packers/ Co-man and Agro
Accountabilities:
1. Front line Financial Control/ Stewardship and Support
- Ensure the financial integrity of plant operations by safeguarding company assets and prudent balance sheet management
- Enforce a strong internal control environment
- Exercise appropriate signatory authority as per Company financial policies
- Drive continuous improvement in the delivery of cost effective front line financial services (e.g. settlement and operational administration)
- Ensure strong controls on contract farming and other Agro processes
2. Financial Reporting and compliance
- Ensure the timely development of relevant and reliable financial information to all ‘stakeholders’ (local statutory reporting, MU business performance, PCC and Company.)
- Ensure compliance with all local and corporate statutory laws, rules and regulations
- Keep regular updates of policies/ procedures related to responsible control process
- Identify and pursue implementation of tax saving initiatives
- Review and ensure the timely and accurately of costing methodology and calculation. Provide reliable variance analysis and comments to management.
- Open and close period of OPM module in Oracle to ensure timely opening and closing
3. Financial Transaction Processing
- As a process owner for Fixed Asset process, lead the GCS agenda in accordance with Company Accountability model by building GCS capability, ensuring robust risk assessment, quarterly GCS testing by Control Owners. Assess key control effectiveness and ensure gaps, as identified in quarterly testing and corporate audit, are remediated on a timely basis. Maintain process documentation that is complete and accurate and main a strong control environment in Finance function.
- Implement Best Practice tools which improve the accuracy, timeliness and cost effectiveness of financial transaction processing and reporting
- Implement policies and procedures that support efficient, well-controlled financial transaction processing systems and which are responsive to the needs of customers, suppliers and internal partners
- Ensure all invoices related to Operations and Agro are booked timely and in accordance with the company Schedule of Authorization (SoA) and balances are reconciled periodically
- Ensure the inventory and fixed assets are well monitored and performed the physical counts as per the process
- Participate in costs monitoring at co-packers to provide recommendations to Operation Team
- Play partnership roles with the Plant to involve in costs and KPIs monitoring with a connection to MU Planning Team
4. Build organization capability:
- Set objectives, assess performance & provide feedback to team as PMP
- Provide recognition & discipline to the team
- Coach, develop functional capability to the team
- Create a motivating and rewarding work environment
- Monitor staff turnover and provide action plan to solve such problem.
5. Others
- Participate in the monthly Balance Sheet Review with MU Control Team and MU Operational Review
- Review the business contracts related to Operations & Agro and authorize as per the SoA
- Provide frequent counseling to functions in the plants proactively
