Project Director (Expat/Vietnamese)
Civil/Construction, Real Estate - Ho Chi Minh

The Job
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct, coordinate, and lead activities of Project team to ensure that goals, businessobjectives,designand all elements of the projects are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and budgets,
- Manages program of projects and project managers to ensure successful completion and coordination of all efforts,
- Monitors progress and ensures quality of project,
- Manage the project team including architects, engineers, workplace consultants, construction managers and administrative support,
- Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arrange for assignment of project personnel,
- Responsible for supervision of all consultants, contractors and all planning/administrative staff assigned to the Project to ensure it is on schedule and within budget,·
- Identify and evaluates alternative solutions to best meet program goals,
- Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems; Recognize and solve potential problems and evaluate project/program effectiveness
- Work cooperatively with and ensures that projects managers work cooperatively with the appropriate internal department

- develop overall program scope, strategy, and requirements ·
- Participate in or oversee the pre-qualification and bid evaluation process for consultants, contractors, and other outside vendors and selects vendors,
- Interacts with governmental branches and regulatory agencies as required to ensure that projects comply with all applicable legal requirements and regulations,
- Review status reports prepared by the project manager and modify schedules or plans as required. Prepare and review project reports for presentation toBOM and Chairman
- Network with local, regional, state and national agenciesfor project development.
Your Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Architecture or related field
- An advanced degree in Business/Management/Finance/Construction Management or a related field is preferred
- At least20years of industry experience in the direct management of large, complex real estate projects with responsibility for site analysis, budget control, estimating, design and construction coordination, and project scheduling
- At least 5 years’ experience in Vietnamwith ground up new construction and have successfully developed a huge number of Real Estate projects
- Experience at Managing Builders on Projects in excess of $100m USDHigh Rise with CBD (District 1 experience preferable)
- Understands the local market and delivery system
- Ability to coordinate multiple design disciplines on variety of projects
- Excellent knowledge of local building regulations, good practices and local materials
- Language: English
- Good leadership and effective communicate skill with people at all levels, Team Player, working well in a team environment
- Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
- Proven Track Record
- Good knowledge of Word, Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project and Power Point
- Availability will be a key
