The Job
Job Purpose:
- Support Executive Team to conduct data analysis and business intelligence on business opportunities, competitors, strategic customers in collaboration with multi-functional teams to make impacts on the business and commercial strategy
Job Responsibilities/duties
- Conduct market research on potential future business opportunities in both new & existing markets
- Gather data and information to conduct strategic analysis and competitive positioning using empirical frameworks (e.g. PESTLE, SWOT, 5-forces)
- Lead competitor analysis activities to shape business & commercial strategy
- Support corporate planning & strategies
- Collaborate with commercial, finance & ops team to conduct product performance & profitability assessment to support future range planning & decision making
- Customer data strategy & analysis to support commercial recommendations
- Lead strategic evaluation of customer prospects & opportunities
- Act as strategic partner to Executive Team in relation to market intelligence and strategy development
- Support commercial projects as required
Your Skills and Experience
- Relevant experience in business analysis/strategy development within consumer goods industry.
Furniture industry experience is preferred - Degree holder or above (business related majors preferred)
- Demonstrate strategic thinking abilities with an analytical mind and possesses problem solving aptitude.
- Self-starter and nimble multi-tasker, able to handle complex projects.
- Experienced in supporting business development / commercial team to drive business growth
- Familiar with analytical tools & technology to produce in-dept business intelligence reporting & dashboards
- Experienced in handling large volume of complex data and tranform into business intelligence/reporting
- Excellent relationship management at senior levels and external customers
- Excellent communication skills, able to frame messages in a clear, concise and impactful way to targeted audience
- Advanced proficiency in Powerpoint and Excel
