Engineering Manager
Mechanical, FMCG - Binh Duong
Salary: $4000- $6000
The Job
Position Purpose:
- To provides engineering to develop solutions & manage projects within the mill to optimize production line capacity, product quality and working environment/condition.
- Accountable for the on-site Vietnam factory expansion project planning and execution. This role is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and adjusting the project plan (based on the input and deliverables of team members), and ensuring the management and effectiveness of the functional team assigned to the project team. Other responsibilities include reporting progress, issues and risks, drive risk and issue resolution, coordinating task dependencies, and establishing milestone project goals that keep the project on time and within budget in alignment with the global team

Primary Accountabilities:
- Key contact for establishing engineering plans and manage project to install / build new equipment/facilities, qualifying new parts/supplies… for mill to meet and improve mill safety, productivity, quality and working environment/condition.
- To coordinate all cross functions involved in the project
- Lead and manage the project planning in close cooperation with the global team
- Project management, and give supervision to work with Consultant Engineer and Contractors daily work at mill.
- Safety leadership leading to whole factory during project period.
- Meeting/communicate fully with superiors, subordinates and others who have a need to know and support.
- Problem solving on project.
- Budget management and objective/target matched as client representative.
- Prepare weekly flash reporting about:
+ Track, monitor and report on the project status
+ Monitor the local cost and keep the project manager updated (+/- list of contractors and local contractors involved in the project) - Coordinate training (Planning, organization, adaptation of the material) assisted by operational setp up team leader and in close cooperation with the section heads and training department
- Coordinate testing of the new installations
- Monitor and manage open tasks and issues list
- Lead by example on collaboration and End-to-End cross functional thinking
Your Skills and Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in project management
- Preferably mechanical engineering background and experience
- Strong management and communication (verbal, written and presentation) skills
- Combines conceptual understanding and practical judgment
- Excellent skills in relationship building and collaboration at all levels of the organization
- Takes calculated, well thought out, risks
- Proactive in identifying and solving problems/issue
- Good organizational skills
- Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations, dealing with complexity and time pressure
- Excellent written and verbal English.
