Planning Manager
- Ho Chi Minh
Salary: $2,500 - $3,200
The Job
Demand Planning:
- Responsible for demand planning with high complexity: volatile market / promotion driven, high number SKUs and/or customers / sales entities
- Linking pin between the sales, marketing and supply chain disciplines. Align the customer focused marketing & sales organization with an efficiency driven supply chain
- Is a sparring partner for (senior) sales and (trade) marketing colleagues in order to challenge and validate forecasts (baseline and uplift)
- Lead and Contributes to new and improves existing procedures, processes and tools, by proposing and implementing improvements based on analyses and modelling of demand planning processes
- Lead the demand meeting
- Monitor the realized performance compared to the formulated planning and, where necessary, set priorities and/or alter the plan through consultation
- Provide insights at request or at own initiative regarding quantitative and qualitative developments by means of periodical and ad hoc reports and/or analyses, based on reporting guidelines
- Continuous Improvement: Observe and evaluate bottlenecks and opportunities in demand planning related (work) processes and systems, and ensures implementation of improvements after approval
- Participate in assigned (Sales/NPD) projects, within the project management guidelines
- Lead the Pre-S&OP meeting, facilitates Ex. S&OP (Mark leads)
- Linking pin between commercial side and supply side
- Build & maintain effective working relationship with S&OP team
- Facilitate to resolve issues, foster decision making process during meetings and ensure follow-up of actions
- Coach S&OP members when necessary, in order to keep the S&OP process run smoothly
- Able to prepare scenarios for decision support covering financial, commercial and operational aspects
- Initiate & drive improvements of the S&OP process to reach & maintain level 3
Supply Planning:
- Plan, schedules stocks of production components and finished products to meet sales demand
- Build plans for use by Purchasing Department, Royal Foods Sourcing and suppliers to ensure adequate supplies of local and imported components
- Build plans for use by Production Department to ensure efficient production runs
- Liaise with Sourcing Group, Combibloc and Tetra Pak on all matters relating to ordering and shipping of milk raw materials and system packaging
- Take part in new product development projects and carries out all logistical activities regarding NPD
- Chair weekly planning meeting with Production and Sales/Marketing Departments
- Assist Supply Chain Manager in supply chain projects
- Make reports, presentations
- Act as internal auditor
Your Skills and Experience
- Graduate in Business Administration/Economy/ Foreign Trade
- At least 5 years experience in Demand and Supply Planning or equivalent o Knowledge of Production, Wh monitoring
- Project-control experience is more referable o Inventory control
- Proficient in use of Microsoft office products – Excel, word etc o SAP mindset and application
- Ability to speak fluent English
- Integrity o Fast learner o A good team-worker
- Quick-mind, strong decision-making (take response on personal decision)
- Ability to work independently o Human management skill is needed
- Ready to work in highly competitive environment, tight schedules & deliver stiff targets
Technical skills, job knowledge, & competencies:
• Smart with figures
• Keen on demand/supply planning technique
• Good in negotiation skill, leadership, conflict management
• SAP usage
