The Job

Accountabilities:

  • Work effectively with local Marketing and Sales teams in the implementation of the pricing strategy to translate brand CVP and positioning strategy into local pricing execution
  • Drive Pricing to successful local implementation of Pricing Value Driver model in local markets, including:
  • Development of annual local pricing plans
  • Development and execution of local Pricing MILO to measure pricing performance and identify and act on opportunities to improve pricing effectiveness
  • Execution of local pricing strategy reviews to align local pricing to brand / product marketing strategies
  • Development of local price maps (portfolio and competitor positioning) and associated list price structure
  • Implementation of local sector and channel strategies and local value chain analysis to set optimal pricing differentiation
  • Development and execution of the local discount structure to set sales floors and commercially sound sales behaviors
  • Execute routine tactical pricing execution in response to key market influencers such as competitor prices, and raw materials costs, as well as identified departures from strategy to ensure actual pricing remains consistent with pricing objectives
  • Compliance with pricing, investment deal and payment terms policies

Special Challenges:

  • Ability to affect change in working with key leaders in the clusters. Effective in handling conflicting opinions and differing points of view regarding pricing strategy and execution (list price increases, discount policy changes, implementation and active usage of global pricing model, tools and implementation of pricing structure including list-prices / tiering and backstops)
  • Continuous effort to build market knowledge based on data and recorded experience in order to influence pricing decisions
  • To be a positive force for change and commercial improvement in the business. Must be strong and charismatic in work with the ability to provide clear business value of strategically aligned pricing

Your Skills and Experience

  • 10 years of work experiences in related fields. (Sales, marketing, channel/distributor management)
  • Strong results orientation
  • Specific strategic pricing working knowledge and experience
  • A solid background in managing or working closely with sales
  • Broad Marketing background
  • Analytical and finance skills
  • Strong in change management
  • Strong commercial acumen, ability to recognize and exploit opportunities to create / leverage commercial value
