The Job

Work Section: Human Resources Department  

Report to: College Director (Expat)

Duties:The followings are key areas of responsibility: 

1. Recruitment and selection 

  • Liaises with candidates and employment and advertising agents on recruitment  
  • Conducts interviews up to senior executive and manager levels
  • Arranges interviews for senior management levels  
  • Prepares letter of offer to selected candidates and letter of rejection to unsuccessful candidates 
  • Occasionally sources for free‐lance/part‐time positions within short notice and places them  appropriately 
  • Conducts exit interview 
  • Keeps in touch with new employees during probation period and other existing employees  

2. Training and development 

  • Conducts orientation induction program to new employees 
  • Coordinates and liaises with internal training division and external consultants on employees’ training  needs and arranges training schedules for employees 
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of the respective training programs by obtaining feedback from employees 

3. Compensation and benefits 

  • Handles payroll and incentives/bonus for around 300 Employees (both local & expat) 
  • Follows up on employees’ annual leave and absence  
  • Manages and appraises employees’ performance and their career advancement 
  • Attends to employees’ grievances and complaints; provides guidance if necessary 
  • Provides feedback to the management to enhance a better and cordial working environment  
  • Organizes corporate events such as company’s functions, corporate trips, etc. 
  • Deals with vendors/suppliers 

4. HR Administration 

  • Drafts agreement/contract annual letter and promotion letter to  employees/associates/freelancers/part‐timers  
  • Follows up‐to‐date guidelines, procedures and regulations by the company and government  
  • Reviews, updates and maintains proper filing of insurance policy, HR handbook, performance appraisal  and assessment/evaluation, and training schedules, etc. 
  • Does work permit and temporary residence card application for expats  
  • Plans and prepares annual headcount report and updates the organization chart 
  • Involves in yearly manpower planning and expansion  
  • Reviews compensation and benefits up to senior executive and manager levels 
  • Updates Board of Management on revised, new regulations from the government  
  • Takes charge of HR consultancy projects and coordinates with department heads on respective projects 
  • Administers HR procedures 

 

Your Skills and Experience

  • University graduation
  • At least 2 years of working experience in HR generalist role, preferably experience  in Education industry 
  • Solid experience in Payroll, Labor Law, C&B, and setting up trade union for the Organization
  • Good writing, and oral communication skills, both English and Vietnamese are required.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Has good understanding and using of MS‐Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and numerically inclined
  • Detailed, well‐organized and able to work independently to meet datelines
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Team work attitude
  • Can work under pressure and fast moving working environment
