Procurement Manager (Category Sourcing Manager)
Electrical/Electronics, High Technology, Purchasing/Supply Chain - Ho Chi Minh
Salary: $2500 - $3000
The Job
Core Responsibilities
- Define sourcing strategy together with cross functional teams. In charge of Power, Motor/Fan, PCB
- Have in depth knowledge in above commodities, well know the supplier base for above commodities. Able to work with suppliers to define the cost model
- Lead and drive work in cross functional teams.
- Identify need for, find and implement new suppliers as needed. Identify need for, discontinue and liquidate suppliers as needed.
- Negotiate agreements and pricing with component suppliers.
- Support product development with sourcing solutions.
- Drive supplier performance and supplier improvement programs as well as cost reduction
- Manage the ECO introduction and the ERP master data related to the category.
- Define and implement the proper supply chain risk management strategy.
- Support execution escalations on mid high level issues ( shortages, push out, quality issues etc)
- Report out strategy to steering team.

- Perform special projects or assignments as required
Your Skills and Experience
- Engineering background in Electronics plus additional 8+ years supply chain/commodity management experience
- Experience in leading projects or cross functional teams.
- Self-motivated with ability to define and drive own initiatives.
- Good communication skills with ability to motivate team members by defining and driving to common goals.
- Analytical with good understanding of the information used in the supply chain.
- Social skills to represent the company outwards and to manage supplier relations.
- Flexible with ability to pick up new knowledge and to see possible improvement.
