Head of Finance
Accounting, Finance/Investment, Fashion/Lifestyle, Luxury Goods - Ho Chi Minh
Salary: $3500- $4500
The Job
PRIMARY FUNCTION
- Work with Global Finance Director to ensure security of affiliate’s financial assets for Vietnam business. The role is essentially to support Vietnam accounting operations.
- As a business lead, he/she has to ensure that the use of SAP (across functions involving finance, supply chain and procurement) is adopted and maximize the effectiveness. This requires ongoing and proactive interaction with the affiliate power users. This position is required to work closely with BRM (Business Relationship Manager), and will be the contact point and relevant regional/global teams.
Accountabilities:
1. Financial Management Responsibilities (VNM):
- Responsible for B/S management and KPIs.
- Lead the preparation of internal controls/audit and statutory audit.
- Prepare financial reports for month end closings, review schedules and report to New York.
- Supervise A/P, A/R, G/A function under him/her.
- Ensure adequate cash flow.
- Act as liaison with bankers, auditors and tax agents and attorneys, as required.
- Approval for credit notes, debit notes, purchase orders, etc.
- Office Payroll and benefits in kind administration.
- Carries out special projects, as requested (participate in various Reg B2R&O2C COP communities
2. Business Planning Responsibilities (VNM):
Business Development
- Develop 3-year P&Ls to support the opening of new counters
Pricing
- Semi-annual reviews of distributor prices.
- Scenario planning of the impact of retail price increases on revenue.
- Pricing maintenance in financial system
Planning
- Participate in the annual budget and lead the monthly estimates process.
- Good knowledge of the business environment
- Provide an independent evaluation of brands financial forecast, assess financial risk/opportunities.
- Work with Regional demand planning teams/affiliates to validate net sales/forecast reconciliations.
Analysis and Reporting
- Monthly review of Retail/Net Sales and Profit & Loss performance; against budget and previous estimates.
- Cost of goods analysis.
- Monthly balance sheet review
- Quarterly GM Commentary on country economic data/trends, marketing highlights, competitor analysis
3. Business Lead Responsibilities (VNM):
- Leading value creation/realization process
- Drive process consistency and monitor performance against Global KPIs and steer affiliate towards them
- Promote community of practice among users (by process)
- Support power users
- understand training needs and coordinate training
- Identify and define training requirements for Power Users community
- Responsible for managing incidents, defects and enhancements, driving timely resolution, and reporting status to management on a regular basis
- Manage SAP Refresh and Regression testing.
Your Skills and Experience
- Degree holder in Accountancy, preferably a certified CPA.
- 10 years of relevant finance and accounting experience in MNC preferred
- Good working knowledge of Vietnam Accounting Standards and tax regulations.
- Good standard in spoken and written English.
- Must have good working knowledge of SAP.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with local and overseas colleagues.
- Keen interest in continuous improvement of current work processes.
- Able to adapt to changes in a dynamic business environment.
- Experience in FMCG or retail industry preferred.
